Visitor Experiences

We are always grateful when people take the time to share their enthusiasm for visiting Fortune Farms and for the quality of our maple syrup and maple products. Here is a small sampling.

Every couple years, we travel about 3 hours each way to visit the farm and stock up on syrup. It’s always a treat to walk into the woods to see how it was done in days past, first with heavy metal pots over an open fire and later with an evaporator in a “sugar shack”. Then we visit the modern facility to learn the new techniques, like using reverse osmosis. Kathy Szalaj, Facebook

Very pretty setting! Nice atmosphere and walking trails. Weekends add a little something special to your trip with the old fashioned way of making maple syrup on the open fire. The smell of the sweet water and wood burning creates that special ambiance to the experience. Heather W, Trip Advisor

It was such a fun day to visit your Maple Farm. We got to meet the Kettle Boys who were entertaining and educating. Maple sugar that is made on an open fire does have a special flavour, loved it. We enjoyed walking some of the trails which have interesting marker points to stop and look at. It was a great experience from start to finish in the well stocked Sugar Shop. Thanks for a great afternoon. Pam and Cooper

I have been purchasing my Maple Sugar products from Fortune Farms for many years and have never been disappointed. This year I got two 1 liter bottles, a jar of Maple Butter and 30 of the Maple Leaf sugars for all the kids on my school bus. It was a big hit as they all loved it very much. Ed Shutler

We first found your sugar bush last year on a “road adventure” when our children were 1 and 2!! ever since that visit we vowed to come back as it was the perfect sugar bush for us (who could say no to free samples ?) We came back and had an even better time this year than last as we knew how to have fun with the kettle boys!! We only bought one bottle last year a learned that that was not enough and learned that we could freeze the maple syrup!! We can not wait to visit you again next year and make it an annual spring trip!!! Jacqueline Green

Best maple syrup. We always post some to Northern Ireland. They absolutely love it. Rachelle Pender, Facebook

Great experience. Grandchildren loved it. Very friendly and family oriented. One of the best at this time of year. Terrific taffy on snow. Left with syrup, vinegar, butter and maple candy The Caseys

Excellent service and products. I’ve done nothing but tell others how good your products are. Keep it up. Thanks. Guy
